Personal Interests:
-
Hiking and biking: I enjoy both desert and
mountain hiking. My biking usually involves long rides along the coast.
-
Movies: My husband and I probably
see 2-4 movies a week (now on DVD since the baby!). A few of my favorites...Blood Simple, Midnight Cowboy,
Henry and June, Amelie, Momento, and so many more!
-
Reading: My current favorite novel
is "The Poisonwood Bible" by Barbara Kingsolver. My current favorite
nonfiction is "The Ancestor's Tale" by Richard Dawkins.
-
Organic Vegetable Gardening: I have
about 100 sq. ft. of vegetable garden which almost feeds both my husband
and me produce all year long (or at least through the summer). We also have four chickens we get eggs from throughout the year. The best way to insure you are getting good food from a good source is to grow it yourself. I think it is very important that everyone try to grow something of their own, just for the experience. It definitely gives you a better understanding of what farmers are going through!.
