Course description
The course presents an introduction to genetics and the genetics of populations.
Basic features of the replication and expression of DNA, cell division and gene
transmission are considered. Recombination and mutation in diploid organisms are
discussed. Concepts of genetic variability and natural selection in populations
are considered.
