At Cypress College, we provide a supportive and encouraging environment for all students.  Courses in Astronomy, Computer Science, Engineering and Physics are offered:

Geology and Oceanography

Physics

For all majors:

An introductory conceptual physics course for all majors.  Concepts in mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, light, gravity, and phases of matter are discussed.  A laboratory is included in the class.

This course is a prerequisite to all the following physics courses. We recommend you take it if you have not passed high school physics with a grade of B or A.

For life science majors:
PHYSICS 201 & 202:  A two-semester general physics course sequence for biology or life science majors who plan to transfer to the CSU system. 
OR
PHYSICS 210 & 211:  A two-semester general physics course sequence for biology or life science majors who plan to transfer to the UC system. 
For physical science, engineering, and math majors:
PHYSICS 221, 222, & 223:  A three-semester Calculus based general physics course sequence for engineering, computer science, mathematics, and science majors.  All areas of general physics are studied.  An advanced laboratory is included in these classes.
